The brand-new Aster hospital at Kasaragod stands resolute in quintessential grey and understated grandeur, simulating its unparalleled excellence in healthcare and medical infrastructure.
Aster Hospitals has always given due diligence to innovation, technology and design in their medical pursuit and the same ethos is seen in how they experientially carry themselves, aligned with their core patient-centric values. This grounded yet futuristic principle paved way for a modern façade, manifested by Aedium Design, that becomes a gentle, explorative play of massing and materials.
An envelope of linear vertical fins, in a methodically random pattern, holds the roof top and the top five of the seven floored muted glass and concrete façade which is softly allowed to take a peek. The screened canvas makes for a clever design detail breaking the solid mass that such building typologies functionally tend to become, creating an illusion of lightness, along with being environmentally conscious of filtering the harsh rays of the sun. The hospital building is situated with in a serene, cleanly defined landscape offering ample transitions paces all around, allowing the structure to majestically standout.
The building continues to display its love for a classic, modern glass paneled entrance which overlooks the main road and adds a polished, chic touch to an otherwise rushed, formal space, re-affirming its promise to provide world class services to all of its users. A telling architectural ode to the strength and warmth of the Aster Healthcare family.
